Vaughan Johansen is a USCG Captain and a certified sailing instructor with the CYA, ASA and NauticEd sailing schools. 

Vaughan has taught sailing for over 15 years. He has also crewed, skippered, taught on, and supported safe operations on sailing vessels from 22 feet – 50 feet. He has travelled all over Canada and the US to provide instruction for new and experienced sailors alike.

Vaughan has owned and maintained sailboats, worked in boatyards on fibreglass repair and maintenance, and worked as a consultant to boat owners and buyers on all aspects of boat purchase and ownership.

An adult educator of over 20 years, Vaughan also brings  curiosity, patience, and understanding to ensure the best possible service to his clients.
